This is looking out one of the windows on the East side. The cross section of the Arch is a triangle with the top of the triangle toward the inside of the arch. In order to look out the window you are leaning over (lying down) along the side of the Arch at about a 45º angle. Basically you are lying down looking out the bottom of the Arch. This is what it looks like straight down 630 feet at the West shore of the Mississippi River. It is an interesting feeling as long as you don't think about what you are doing.
